We are thankful for the kind arrangement by Dr. Hamizah M. Safuan  to conduct an Industrial Talk on 20 September 2015, organized by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in collaboration with Centre for Research of Computational Mathematics (CERCOM), Faculty of Science, Technology and Human Development, at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

The event took place at Galeri Ilmu for a group of about fifty undergraduate students, who were at their 3rd year study of the Mathematics Technology. The industrial talk was titled “Knowledge-based Computation“, highlighting a robust Wolfram Research technology about the on-demand computable curated scientific & technical data. The talk was held in conjunction with fun quizzes and team contests. Many participating students walked away excitingly with goodie bags and prizes.

Most importantly we hope the short talk would inspire the college youth about the importance and practicality of mathematics technology. We will definitely look forward to meeting all those young talents again at UTHM!
