1. Overview of the Service
The OEMS AI WhatsApp Assistant enables users to communicate with an AI-powered system via WhatsApp to:
- Ask questions and receive automated responses
- Retrieve information from knowledge bases and internal systems
- Submit text, images, voice notes, or documents for processing
Messages are processed only for the purpose of generating relevant AI responses.
2. Information Received from WhatsApp
When a user sends a message to our WhatsApp number, Meta transmits certain information to our system via the WhatsApp Cloud API, including:
- WhatsApp phone number
- User display name (as set in WhatsApp)
- Message content (text, image, audio, document)
- Message timestamp
- Message ID and related metadata
This information is received strictly for the purpose of replying to the user’s message.
3. How the Information is Used
User messages are processed as follows:
- Received temporarily by our secure webhook server
- Forwarded to AI processing services to generate a response
- Optionally queried against internal knowledge databases
- Used to send a reply back to the user on WhatsApp
We do not use this data for marketing, profiling, analytics resale, or advertising.
4. Data Storage Policy
We do not permanently store WhatsApp user messages or personal data.
- Messages may be logged temporarily for system reliability and debugging
- Temporary logs are automatically cleared after a limited retention period
- No user profile database is maintained
5. AI Processing and Third-Party Processors
To provide intelligent responses, messages may be processed by:
- AI model providers (such as OpenAI services)
- Internal OEMS knowledge APIs and systems
Only the minimum necessary message content is processed to generate a response.
